Coventry's strike-force of Darren Huckerby and Noel Whelan sent out the clear message that the Sky Blues will not miss Dion Dublin too much. They caused the Blackburn defence tremendous problems all afternoon and it needed a superb display by central defender Stephane Henchoz, as well as the Rovers woodwork, to keep the duo down to just the two goals.

Telfer's loose backpass gave Blackburn a left-wing corner, which Johnson floated to the near post and when Davies flicked on, the midfielder rose in a crowded six-yard box to head it back across the 'keeper at the far post

picked up a long ball from Clement on the left wing and won a crucial challenge with Henchoz, before cutting inside and advancing into the penalty area, where he unleashed a right-footed rocket high into the net at the near post from 15 yards
