Plymouth dominated for long periods, but County 'keeper Mart Poom was rarely extended apart from a spectacular double save from Paul Wotton and Earl Jean just before the interval. By then Derby were cruising and although the Division Three side fought to the end, any hopes of getting back into the game were dashed when Burton scored Derby's third eight minutes from time
