SCANDINAVIAN MASTERS

Friday to Sunday 27th – 29th November the dart competition SCANDINAVIAN MASTERS is held, hosted by Hotel Arkipelag , at Hotel Arkipelag in Mariehamn on Åland.

An invite-only competition with the elite women and men from Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark as well as specially selected and invited players from the world elite. The price money in total is 3.600€ for women and 9.600€ for men.

 

Furthermore NORDIC LADIES TROPHY and NORDIC GENTLEMEN TROPHY are organized. An invite-only competition with a total price of 1.900€. The competitions are played in Joker Dart’s club on Saturday 28^th November.

 

The event is a co-operation between the Finnish Dart Union, the Swedish Dart Union and the local organizer Joker Dart r.f and is carried out with support from the government of Åland, Mariehamns Stad and Åland’s Sport Union (Ålands Idrottsförbund). The main supporters for the competitions are Hotel Arkipelag and PAF.

 

The objective of the event is to widen interest for playing darts in the Nordic countries. We’re also aiming, within five years, to get this event classed as one of the bigger dart events in Europe.

 

We also want to develop Åland as an attractive destination for people to visit and also market the province for a European audience.
