Krokens Cottages

are situated in a wonderful landscapeon Eckerö, Western Åland. All 7 cottages, with room for 6-8 persons, 46-68 m2, have a high standard of living and are equipped with shower/WC, electric heating, open fireplace, TV, microwave oven, sauna in 4 of the cottages, shared beach-sauna for the other three.

Fishing for salmon, trout, pike and perch, out on the open sea or in the bay. You will have the fishing experience of a lifetime to bring with You back home, no matter if You managed to lure the fish or the fish outsmarted You. A rowing boat is included in the rent. You can rent boat-motors and we also sell fishing-licences. 

Our special "Fishing Package" includes 2 boats + 2 motors, 20 liters of fuel, accomodation (two nights during weekend, three nights during weeknights), sheets and towels, cleaning at the end of Your stay, life-wests, sauna and a fishing-licence to one of Ålands biggest  fishing-areas, "The Eckerö Card", 130 km2.

In the cottage You have a freezer for the fish. You can also smoke the fish in the fish-smokery by the shore.

You can order readily prepared food from us; for the family, Your fishing-team or for a whole group of travelers, in case You one day don´t feel like using the fully equipped kitchen in Your cottage. Your hostess prepares the food which will be delivered up to Your door still steaming hot. We gladly take care of all Your meals including breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, late-night meals or lunch-baskets for Your fishing-trip; all according to Your wishes. The forests around Kroken are full of mushrooms and berries - enough for everyone.

Are cottages and the surroundings are ideal for children.A shallow sandbeach, polayground, swings and a ball-field attract youngsters. Only 800 meters away You can find Degersand beach, where You can enjoy sunbathing and swimming. In Degersand You´ll also find a café.

Summercamps and groups

The cottages are suitable for school-groups and their leaders. Kroken cottages are also suitable for different types of groups, such as sports- or athletic groups, art-camps and writers etc. We can accomodate up to 50 persons. Call us and we´ll tell you more.

Krokens cottages is suitable for everyone, who wishes to experience a seaside surrounding and live nearby to nature in a peacefulness and quiet. The distances are short. By car it takes approximately half an hour to get to Mariehamn or the golf-course in Kastelholm. We also have a golf-course on Eckerö. You can naturally drive Your car all the way up to the cottage! Kroken cottages are sitauated approximately 40 kilometers from Mariehamn and 10 kilometers from the Berghamn-harbour on Eckerö. The closest grocery store, bank, post office and restaurant are 9 kilometers away.
