Terms & Conditions
Rates
All rates quoted are inclusive of local taxes & service charges. Rates are subject to change without prior notice due to foreign exchange movements, increase in costs & taxes, and other unforeseen events. All rates are based on twin sharing unless stated otherwise. Prices, however, are guaranteed once a booking and deposit is made and accepted.
All rates are in US $ and Euro.

Deposit and payment
A deposit of 500 US $ / 550 Euro per person is required within 7 days of reservation in order to secure a reservation. Final payment is due 60 days before the starting date of the tour. Reservations made less than 60 days before tour starts must be paid in full, within 72 hours from reservation before the reservation can be confirmed.
Payment can be made by credit card (Visa, Master Card, Eurocard or American Express) or bank transfer. Personal or company checks are not accepted.
Tour prices do NOT include:
  • Travel to and from the Aland Islands and other related costs such as excess baggage fees etc.
  • Personal expenses and any activities, meals etc. not listed as included.
  • Hotel optional services such as telephone calls, pay TV, laundry, room service and mini bar.
  • Costs for obtaining passports, visas, travel insurance or other optional insurances.
  • Gratuities to your tour leader and other service staff is a personal matter related to your impression of service.

Cancellation
Reservations may only be cancelled by written notice to Alandic Tours, for the cancellation to be effective. The date of cancellation shall be the date when the written notice is received by Alandic Tours.
Tour prices are based on a minimum number of two (2) participants per tour. Alandic Tours reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure if a minimum of participants is not met or if any other circumstances so warrant. If bookings for such tours fall below the minimum required participants, travellers will be offered alternate dates or the entire payment will be refunded without further obligation on the part of the operator. If any trip is cancelled, for whatever reason, by Alandic Tours (the tour operator) all deposits and payments will be refunded in full.
The following charges per person apply to tour cancellations, for any reason:
  • 90 - 60 days prior to departure $ 500 / 550 Euro
  • 60 - 31 days prior to departure 50 % of the tour price
  • 30 - 16 days prior to departure 75 % of the tour price
  • 15 - 0 days prior to departure 100 % of the tour price
Additionally, there is a penalty of the entire package price for any “no show”. No refunds will be made on any unused services of the tour.

Itinerary variations
The tours are planned a year in advance. Between planning time and the actual tour operation Alandic Tours constantly strives to improve the itinerary. During local or national holidays, certain features, such as museums and shopping may be limited or unavailable. In such instances, and whenever possible, itinerary adjustments and substitutions are made to minimize inconveniences. Modifications in the day-by-day itinerary may occur, due to the local conditions and/or operational difficulties beyond our control. Also, should it be necessary we reserve the right to substitute accommodations, activities, meals, etc., with those of equal or better value, with no further obligations.
We reserve the right to change the itinerary due to weather conditions and other unforeseen events or if Alandic Tours deems it necessary for the convenience and safety of the participants.
We reserve the right to cancel any tours due to insufficient demand or other forcing conditions. Every effort will be made to offer alternative tours or refund full amount without any further liability.

Travel Insurance:
Personal items are carried at the participants risk. The safe keeping of valuables is the participants responsibility. Alandic Tours does not accept any responsibility for theft, damage or loss of personal property and other unforeseen expenses incurred by any tour member.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended to be taken separately as it is not included in the tour price. Travel insurance for trip, cancellation, lost baggage and health insurance for medical emergencies is strongly recommended. Please ask your travel agent for further information.
We also recommend insurance for personal injury, accident and illness. Please check with your travel agent for the same to cover all risks. Alandic Tours accepts no responsibility for personal injury, accident or illness in the absence of negligence on the company īs part.
Any lawsuits or other legal disputes will be settled by Finnish law and court.

Passports and Visa
Each participant is responsible for having a valid passport and visa, and is responsible for making their own visa arrangements if required. Please consult your travel agent. Any expenses of obtaining a passport, visa or any other personal travel documents are not included in the tour price.

Disruption by participants
Alandic Tours reserves the right to terminate the contract without notice if a participant disrupts the tour, despite warnings from the tour leaders, in such a way that other participants cannot be expected to continue the tour or if the participant refuses to follow the objective of the tour in a manner which disrupts fellow participants programme.

Health and disability requirements
The tours include many activities that are moderately strenuous. You need to have a reasonably good health condition. If you are uncertain of your health condition we recommend you to see a physician for a medical check-up before reservation.
Due to the design of the tours we can not at this point accept guests with disabilities which considerably impair their ability of movement.

Responsibilities:
Alandic Tours is only responsible for the tour arrangements in the Aland Islands. Alandic Tours accepts no responsibility for the travel to and from the Aland Islands and any losses or expenses due to delays or changes in air or other linked services, sickness, weather, strikes, social or labour unrest, war, terrorist activities, quarantine or any other causes, actions or omissions, or conditions over which it has no control.
The payment for reservation on any tour shall constitute consent to all provisions in the TERMS AND CONDITIONS published herein.
