February 8 2005:
Greetings!
It's been nearly two years since my last update, so I figured it was about time to write a small note...I've been rather busy, as you might be able to guess. I plan on redesigning the site, but I have no firm deadline for that...by the summer hopefully. Got some new projects I'm working on, I'll probably add more information about them at a later date.
The site managed to celebrate its 4th and 5th birthday in my absence!
February 22 2003:
It's been a while. I've been busy with my studies lately, so I haven't much of a chance to update the site lately...although, you know the saying, "if it ain't broken, don't fix it" ;-)
Not much new this time around either, just updated the portfolio page with more recent screenshots of the sites.
Oh yeah, and the site celebrated its 3rd birthday in October!
July 12 2002:
A new review is up in the new articles section, which contains tutorials and other - you guessed it - articles.
May 01 2002:
As you probably can see, the site has finally received a long overdue redesign (this redesign is part of the reason for the lack of updates here lately, I wanted to finish the new design before adding anything else...). This is the fourth version of the site.
My old logo, which has been around for several years and managed to live through several redesigns, have also been retired.
There is really no new material, but it will come later on during the summer...so what else is new on the site?
- The "About" page has been reedited
- The "Portfolio" page has been updated with my latest projects and graphics
- The "Backgrounds" section has been revamped to decrease loading times. On the previous version of the site, it took ages to load the preview pages...
- The "Reviews" and "Skins" section has been dropped, basically because there was no content there, and what's the point of having empty sections...?
That should be everything. Hope you all like MS Graphics v. 4!
January 29 2002:
Removed all Christmas/New Year greetings, as they were becoming slightly (emphasis on 'slightly') out of date. The Photoshop webring has appearantly ceased to exist, so it was removed from the front page.
December 19 2001:
Nothing much, just added some Christmas-feeling to the menu and logo...and in case you missed it, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
October 1 2001:
MS Graphics 2 years old today! Happy birthday to me! ;-) The Reviews section is now finished, and the very first review on this site is Auto FX's DreamSuite, click the link to see what I thought of this new Photoshop plug-in...if you have any software you would like me to review for this site, please contact me: michael.stormbom@aland.net
July 31 2001:
Totally remade the Actions section, hopefully it's a bit easier to browse now. Three new actions has also been added, Hard as Moo (?), Laudatur and C^3. As some of you may have noticed, the forum hasn't been working for some time. Centerwheel (formerly CoolBoard) decided to close their free messageboard system. The messageboard on the site were shared with several sites (the main site being The Action Xchange), but there are unfortunately not any similar messageboard system out there, so rather than splitting up the messageboard users to the respective sites, I've decided to remove the forum section permantely and instead include a link to the Action Xchange's new forum (hosted by Adobe) here. Instead, I'm working on creating a new section: Reviews. What's going to be there you ask? Stay tuned...The links section has also been updated.
July 4 2001:
Nothing much new this time either, just letting you know that I'm still alive...fixed the broken webring image on the first page (the Photoshop actions webring seems to have been abandoned?). Some portfolio updates: Metal Skins has been totally redesigned, it looks so much better now. I've also started learning PHP (http://www.php.net).
April 1 2001:
A new site has been added to the portfolio, Nikolo Kotzev's Nostradamus. "Nostradamus" is a rock opera based on the life and time of the famous french prophet Michel de Nostredame, and it features singers like Joe Lynn Turner, Glenn Hughes and Alannah Myles!
(Note: This is not an April Fool's joke! ;-)
February 19 2001:
All documents on this site
have been converted to XHTML (transitional language between HTML and XML) and they have also been validated with W3.org to make sure the coding is 100% correct. (This means the current site version is 3.6 ;-) Also, some of my work is now featured on a CD called Photoshop Stuff, which is being released by Digital Tropic, you can order this CD by clicking the banner below:
January 1 2001:
The first update of the
millennium...but hopefully not the last! There's nothing much new
this time, but as you probably already have noticed, I've
redesigned the site a bit (the current version of the site is 3.5).
I hope you like it as much as I do ;-) More information about my
current projects will come later on...
November 4 2000:
Ok, so it turned out to be
more than a couple of weeks until my next update. I apologize, I
had a lot to do in school recently and such. One new action called Nechromicon has been added.
This action makes text with a chrome texture.
I have also been busy maintaining the sites listed in portfolio.
July 18 2000:
One new action called Hard as Marble has been added.
This action creates hard marble-like text (hence the name). I'm
going abroad tomorrow, so don't expect any updates for the next
couple of weeks ;)
July 16 2000:
I've added two new actions (actually, one of them is four
months old, I just forgot to add it back then ;-), called Metal
Frenzy and Hard as Steel II. The actions pages were a big mess, but
now I have redesigned the pages a little bit. Many of the sample
images were remade, while others were just resized. Two or three
sample images were left unedited. Hopefully, the action pages will
now load faster and be easier to navigate.
June 26 2000:
The site has been totally
redesigned (if you haven't noticed), which hopefully makes it
easier to navigate. Also got a short easy-to-remember URL, http://ms-graphics.now.nu/.Also
added a few links and banners.
June 7 2000:
As usual I haven't had much
time, but here is some info on my latest projects:
First of all, my Dio page have been taken down, all that is left
of it is the links section. A though descision to make, but there
are several other Dio pages on the net anyway.
My U.D.O. page was also taken down way back in February due to my
constant lack of time.
I've also started a new WinAmp Skins site entitled Metal Skins. Here you
will find only skins featuring heavy metal and rock bands. Also,
I've made the design for the official homepage of a Swedish band
called Mythical Fury. I
just did the design though, no text and such. And finally, some MS
Graphics site updates: Corrected a mistake in the skins section,
and updated the portfolio page.
April 7 2000:
New section added, ICQ skins!
You can access them from the "Skins" button to the right, together
with the WinAmp skins. Also, I now got ICQ, so if you feel like
contacting me through ICQ, you can do it with my number
22559125!
March 24 2000:
Nothing much, just the
webring on the first page.
February 11 2000:
Nothing has been done to the
page for a long time....I'm ultra-busy at the moment, and will be
for quite a while. Managed to make a new action (my first in four
months or so!) called Metal forever (Metal rules!!!). I'm planning
to make a newsletter, but I won't make one unless there's interest
in one. It would be a photoshop newsletter. If you would be
interested in such a newsletter, or maybe would like to help,
please mail me (adress at about page)!
January 1 2000:
Happy new year everyone! MS
Graphics has returned with a new layout once again (so what if the
last one only lasted three months ;)! A lot of changes has been
made: new sections, two versions of the site (one with a cool intro
and one without). Added some backgrounds and a tutorial. Any
comments or critique is welcome, I appreciate feedback.
December 17 1999:
There hasn't been any updates
for a very long time now, I haven't had the time. Added some links
and added the cool transition effect for the first page (IE only).
This will probably be the last update for 1999, I don't have much
time. I will update the page again in 2000 if the world still
exists...
October 29 1999:
Made some rearrangements in
the Backgrounds section, Glass and bricks and Tiled backgrounds
have become one page. Relief backgrounds have been split up to two
pages. 6 new backgrounds added.
October 23 1999:
Added one action to Actions,
NeatNet. Three backgrounds have been added
to Sidebar backgrounds.
October 15 1999:
Added two new backgrounds to
Relief backgrounds. Also added a new WinAmp skin called MezzAmp.
Added About site, where all info on how to use the site and what to
use the site and legal notices have been put. Also made small
adjustments here and there.
October 6 1999:
Added 18 (!) new backgrounds
to the Backgrounds section, and added a new subsection: Tiled
backgrounds. Added a new tutorial to the Background
tutorials.
October 1 1999:
The new site is finally up!
Two new sections: Backgrounds and WinAmp skins. Another new
addition to the site is a very cool forum hosted by Coolboard.com,
so check it out!
I am currently updating the homepage of the local TV-station on
the Aland Islands, TV Åland. The homepage is in Swedish only.
